The Experience In America

The unforgettable impression since I came to Seattle is the public transportation .The second day after I arrived in Seattle my host mom ride the bus with me . She showed me how to get to school from the house .At the beginning, I didn’t have tickets or bus pass, so I paid 75 cent .When I just wanted to turn away and found a seat, the driver asked me if I need a transfer. I couldn’t understand at the time, but my host mom told me to get it, and when we sat down she explained to me that I can use the transfer to take other buses in the limited time . I was so surprise because in my country people have to pay every time when they get on the bus , and there’s no specific area that’s free to ride . On our way to school she taught me how to see the bus schedule. This is another difference from my country. We don’t have a set of schedule tells us when the bus will come and we just going to wait 2 or 3 minutes .But at here the bus will come in every 30 minutes .Except for rush hour because the bus comes in every 15 minutes .Finally we arrived and host mom rang the bell to get off . This is a difference also .Bus drivers usually stop in every station so passengers don’t have to do anything . At that day, I really enjoyed my experience of riding the bus in America ,and I have a lot of fun .

  1. It's nice that you were able to make these comparisons! Remember to use past tense to tell about past experiences!
